Save Money and Freight with a
Yome Home Kit

For the do-it-yourselfers, Red Sky Shelters is now offering a low cost Yome kit. You make your own support poles and everything else is provided including complete instructions.

With simple carpentry skills, a table saw and drill you can make your own support poles saving both money and freight. We provide everything but the wood for the poles including the center ring vent system, hardware and instructions. Lumber from your local building materials dealer can be sawn into support poles or they can be made by harvesting and peeling appropriately sized tree saplings.

We recommend that the Sunforger roof be coated with the flexible acrylic-ceramic sealant which we provide. This product not only seals and increases the lifespan of the roof by several years but also helps insulate the interior. It can be brushed on like paint, yet it contains millions of tiny ceramic beads (see Ceramic-Acrylic page). This coating is best applied by the customer after the roof is assembled and before it is raised. It can be tinted to your choice of several colors using standard paint pigments.

Furthermore, Yome kits can be ordered with a roof made out of our premium maintance-free green silicone-coated roof material (see Roof Fabric page).
